Since 1930
BOVAG has been in existence since May 6, 1930. Forty garage owners talked about their common interests on that day in the Utrecht café-restaurant "Noord-Brabant", and decided to join forces. That evening, the Bond of Automobile Dealers and Garage owners was born. Over the years, many other companies also joined, such as bicycle and motorcycle specialists, driving schools, caravan companies, car washes, gas stations, etc. The well-known BOVAG Warranty for used cars was introduced in 1965, and a similar guarantee scheme for maintenance and repairs followed five years later. The BOVAG Warranty now applies to virtually all products and services offered by BOVAG members.
