Looking to rent a moving van? Avis has you covered. Got all your boxes packed and ready to go? Great — the hardest part is done! Now it’s time to get your belongings from point A to point B. For everything that won’t fit in a regular car, a moving van is the perfect solution. At Avis, we offer a variety of moving vans and cargo vans to suit your needs.

The best part? You only need a standard category B driver’s license to rent any of our vans — no special license required. Transporting a lot of items? Go for a Fiat Ducato, with its generous cargo space that easily fits your moving boxes. Just moving a few things into a dorm room? A Mercedes Vito might be the better fit.

We also offer the option to reserve moving accessories with your van rental — things like hand trucks, stair climbers, furniture dollies, and moving blankets. Need boxes and tape? You can purchase those from Avis as well. Just select the extras you need when booking your moving van online.

Rent a passenger van for a group

Need to transport a larger group? Avis has a wide selection of passenger vans available, so there's always a vehicle that fits your situation. Choose from 6-seater, 7-seater, 8-seater, or 9-seater vans — perfect for bachelor parties, group travel, or special occasions.

Need more cargo space instead? Rent a cargo van. Our vans range in capacity from 3m³ to 18m³, ideal for moving house or transporting large purchases.

How much does it cost to rent a van?

At Avis, renting a van or moving truck is easy and affordable. Each rental day is calculated per calendar day. Our rental vans come with a standard deductible (excess) in the event of theft or damage — such as dents, scratches, flat tires, theft, or total loss. The amount of the deductible depends on the van type and whether you're under or over the age of 21.

We offer all renters the option to reduce the deductible and the security deposit for extra peace of mind. To get a clear estimate of the total cost, we recommend using our online booking tool.

What's included when you rent a van?

Every van rental includes third-party liability insurance (WA) by default. This insurance covers any damage the van may cause to others while you're driving. The cost of this coverage is included in our standard rental rates.

Looking for extra protection? You can add the optional Personal Accident Insurance (SVI) to cover injuries to the driver or passengers in the event of an accident.
