What child seats can I rent with the car?

Safety in the car is paramount, especially when it comes to your children. You are required as a parent in the Netherlands to transport children up to 1.35m (4'5") in a child seat.

There are several child seat types: a baby seat, infant seat, or booster seat (with and without a backrest). The following different types of child seats are available to rent from us.

Infant car seat rental for babies 0 - 12 months old

Little ones are easily transported in an infant seat up to 12 months. This is the safest way to transport your child. Avis offers you the option of renting an infant seat with your car.
Infant car seat 0-12 months

Toddler car seat rental for children 1 - 3 years old

The toddler car seat is for when a toddler has outgrown an infant seat. Children who are 1-3 years old can be transported in the car in an upright position with a toddler seat. Avis has toddler seats suitable for every type of rental car in our fleet.
Infant car seat 1-3 years

Booster seat with backrest rental for children 4 - 6 years old

A booster seat with a backrest is ideal for children who are 4–6 years old. The backrest is very important because it provides lateral support for the head and torso. To transport children safely, opt for a booster seat with a backrest in the rental car.
Infant car seat 6-12 years

Booster seat without backrest with car rental for children 4 - 12 years old

A booster seat without a backrest is suitable for children who are 4 years old and up. Your child can be easily secured with the normal seat belt due to the elevation of the seat. This way, your child will be safe in the rental car.
