Personal Data Protection Act

Processing of personal data of the renting party and of the driver. The personal data mentioned in the contract is processed by Avis in a personal data register as the controller within the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Act. On the basis of this processing, Avis can realize the contract, provide the renting party or the driver with optimum service and current product information, and provide the renting party or the driver with personalized offers. The renting party or the driver may object to the processing of their data for the purpose of direct mailing to Avis, which objection will be honored.

The data can also be included in the Autoverhuur Waarschuwing Systeem (Car Rental Alert System). The Autoverhuur Ledenassociatie (Car Rental Member Association) Department of BOVAG, PO Box 1100, 3980 DC Bunnik is responsible for processing this data in the Autoverhuur Waarschuwing Systeem. The personal data of the renting party or of the driver will be entered in this system in any case if the vehicle is not returned, crimes or offenses are committed with the vehicle, repeated damage to the car is caused by the actions or omissions of the renting party or the driver, and if the rental price is not paid or not paid on time. You can request information about processed personal data and the duration of the registration from the person in charge, and issue a written objection.

Making a reservation on this site

A reservation (whether confirmed or not) does not constitute an agreement to provide vehicle rental services. An agreement is entered into at the time of rental and the laws of the country where the rental takes place will apply to that agreement.
