Consider these points when renting a car

Return after hours
It is logical that it is not always possible to return the rental car within opening hours. Therefore, it is useful to check if the rental company is flexible with returning your rental car after closing time.

Return to another branch
During a move or a one-way trip to another city, it can be annoying if you have to return your rented passenger car to the same branch where you picked it up. A one-way service from a rental company allows you to return the rental car to another location.

Deductible
When renting a rental car, a Standard deductible applies, which means that in the event of damage, you will be responsible for part of the damage. The deductible, which is included in the deposit, is determined by the class of the rented vehicle, your age and the type of damage. Many car rental companies give you the option of lowering your deductible by paying a premium. Please note: The rules governing the deductible may vary by rental company.

Deposit
A deposit applies for each rental car. At Avis, the amount of the deposit depends on the number of rental days combined with the daily rate, the fuel tank of your car, the deductible and the rental of additional items, accessories, insurance premiums and additional amounts. As a result, different deposit amounts apply to different types of cars. For example, you pay a lower deposit for a passenger car than for a van or truck. The cost of a full tank is included in your deposit. Should you return the car with an empty tank, the cost of filling up the car will be deducted from the deposit. It is therefore always wise to return your rental car with a full tank. Once you have returned a damage-free and fully fueled rental car to an Avis branch, the deposit will be returned to you in full. Insurance
The insurance included as standard with the rental may vary from provider to provider. With Avis, your rental car comes as standard with third-party insurance. This third-party insurance is included in the rental rate and protects you from damage caused by third parties to your rental car. In addition, you currently receive free occupant insurance with your rental car, for a limited time. This insurance indemnifies all occupants in the event of injury during an accident.
