Insurance and price per kilometer?

Avis always guarantees you a minimum of 100 free kilometers per day, regardless of the type of car you rent. The rate that applies per additional kilometer driven after exceeding the limit varies by rental car. When you are booking, you can see see what the price is per additional kilometer driven for a specific car type. This is listed in the car's specifications.

Before you get on the road, it is wise to be well informed in advance about the different types of insurance and which one best suits your situation. All rental cars in Avis' fleet have third-party insurance as standard. This insurance is included by default in the rental rate, so it is not added separately. We also offer you the option of additional insurance: occupant insurance. If an occupant (including the driver) suffers injury or damage after an accident, that person will be fully compensated. This includes both compensation for personal injury and compensation for the next of kin in the event of death. Occupant insurance also covers damage to personal items. Compensation is capped at €2,500,000. The question of guilt is irrelevant here.

Dented the car? Or do you have a flat tire? A standard deductible applies per claim. This can include scratches, dents, theft, total loss or a flat tire. The amount of the deductible depends on your age (a different rate applies if you are 23 or younger) and the type of car you are renting. The amount of the deductible can be found on your reservation confirmation. We also offer the option of reducing the deductible by paying a premium. The amount of the premium depends on the rate type (special offer or standard rate), class/type of car, rental length and the age of the main driver.
